Information Regarding the Equifax Breach
On September 7, 2017, Equifax, one of the three major credit bureaus, announced a massive security breach of their system. Equifax has stated that this data breach may have impacted as many as 143 million Americans, whose personal information including names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses, driver’s license numbers and some credit card numbers, was stolen by cyber criminals.
