As primary shareholders of the bank’s parent company, Sturm Financial Group, Don and Susan Sturm are committed to excellence in all endeavors and actively work to leave the world a better place. Don holds bachelor of arts, bachelor of laws and master of laws (taxation) degrees. Susan graduated magna cum laude with a degree in economics.
Their current business interests span a number of sectors: banking operations in three states with more than 35 profit centers, investment management, and real estate activities including land development, commercial ownerships, leasing and management. Don is chairman and CEO of Sturm Financial Group and Sue serves as vice-chair and chief financial officer.
Don and Sue share a belief in the importance of giving back to the community, and are each involved in several volunteer organizations. Through the Sturm Family Foundation, they expand educational opportunities for low-income children and pursue affordable housing initiatives.
As president of ANB Bank, Koger Propst brings more than 30 years of experience in community banking with a focus on creating alignments that allow the bank, its employees and its customers to achieve mutual goals. He leads ANB Bank with a firm belief in the power of independent banking and its ability to help enhance lives and communities. For ANB’s customers, that means truly getting to know their personal and business needs at the root level and delivering exceptional, personalized service and quality products that enhance their lives.
Koger has spent his career with Colorado banks. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Remaining active in the communities where he lives, Koger serves in board roles with a number of community organizations and leadership roles with state banking organizations.
As president of ANB Bank’s Northern Colorado region, John Fiedler takes a personal stake in the success of the community’s business owners and the community at large. John develops strategies to ensure the bank’s financial objectives, goals and institutional growth are met, and at the same time aligned with making a positive impact in the community. John brings more than two decades’ experience in the financial services industry becoming a widely respected, seasoned and accomplished community banker.
John attended two universities in New York. He supports numerous charitable initiatives through events, donations and volunteerism.
As a regional president for the Colorado Springs market, Lonnie Parsons leads the growth and success of ANB Bank’s Southern Colorado branches. A veteran banker with more than 30 years’ experience, Lonnie heads development efforts in business and personal banking, and collaborates with all bank divisions to ensure smooth service delivery across product lines.
Lonnie’s lengthy experience encompasses nearly all industries and facets of banking, leading his banks in numerous markets with a focus in commercial and consumer banking.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and an M.B.A. He has a long history of engaging in the community, having served a number of local community organizations in leadership roles.
With more than 25 years of broad banking experience, Vance Wagner brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the Bank’s Western Colorado Region as Regional President, also serving as Market President for the Grand Valley.
His lengthy experience encompasses nearly all industries and facets of banking, with an emphasis in commercial, real estate and construction lending - enabling him to help businesses of all types and sizes navigate the business landscape successfully.
Vance attended college in Colorado. Additionally, he graduated from real estate school and received awards within the financial industry.
Vance has a lengthy history of community involvement that includes serving on a number of local boards.
ANB Bank Regional President, J. Reed Nixon has made it his mission to increase ANB’s reach in the communities it serves by putting the needs of customers first while leading the bank’s growth. A consummate team builder who enjoys developing relationships, Reed guides ANB Bank’s strategic efforts to meet the needs of individuals, families, and businesses through devoted community involvement and exceptional banking products and services.
Reed brings more than 30 years’ experience in lending and banking combined with strong leadership skills to head ANB’s three branches in the Kansas City area. His extensive credentials span all facets of lending. Reed holds a B.S. degree in finance and is a graduate from the Southwest Graduate School of Banking.
A lifelong resident of the community, Reed has dedicated his time to helping others with numerous service initiatives through various community groups; and supports a number of other business and charitable organizations.
Ann Nelson likes to make a difference – in the lives of her clients, within her bank “family,” and in her community. As the Regional President of Wyoming, she is developing new bank relationships, nurturing current bank relationships, and creating a friendly, knowledgeable banking environment
Ann brings with her over 20 years of banking experience to lead her team and the Wyoming Region. She joined ANB Bank in 1997 at the Laramie Banking Center. During her tenure with ANB she has held various lending and management roles serving as Commercial Lender, Laramie Market President, Regional Senior Credit Officer for the Wyoming Region, now culminating into her current role as Regional President of Wyoming.
Ann is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with bachelor degrees in Accounting and Business Management. She is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado where she also co-taught BankSim courses for 9 years.
Ann devotes her time to many deserving organizations in her community. She is the Treasurer for Cheyenne Meals on Wheels Foundation. She serves on the boards of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, LEADS and Cheyenne Rotary Club. She is a current class member of Leadership Wyoming 2011. She is also the recipient of the University of Wyoming College of Business Distinguished Alumnus Award for 2009-2010.
WY/CO (Laramie, Ft. Collins, Boulder)
Kelso Kelly is the regional president of our Laramie, Fort Collins and Boulder Banking Centers, but his main office is in our Laramie branch. He is responsible for driving organic revenue growth, building and enhancing customer relationships, and overseeing the day-to-day business operations in the region.
Kelso brings almost four decades of banking and management experience to ANB. His experience encompasses many facets of banking, including both personal and commercial banking, construction and consumer lending and business development. He previously served as the chief executive officer of Capital West Bank, prior to their merger with ANB Bank.
Kelso is an active member of the community, where he serves as a member of the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance, and is on the executive board of the Ivinson Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Laramie Rotary Club.
Food & Agribusiness
Scott Peterson is the Food & Agribusiness President at our Fort Collins Banking Center. He uses a personalized approach to find financial solutions for his clients.
Scott brings over 20 years of banking and management experience to ANB. His experience includes agriculture lending and business development, commercial and consumer lending and bank management.
In addition to experience, Scott also has his bachelor’s degree in accounting. In his off time, he volunteers his time as a board member for a local non-profit and is an active member of several Agribusiness and agriculture-related organizations.
