These are just two attributes that have propelled Donald and Susan to positions of leadership in both the business world and in the communities they serve.
Don holds bachelor of arts, bachelor of laws and master of laws (taxation) degrees. Don spent 28 years with Omaha, Nebraska based Peter Kiewit Son’s Inc. rising to the position of Vice-Chairman. Susan graduated magna cum laude with a degree in economics.
Their current business interests span a number of sectors: banking operations in three states with more than 35 profit centers, investment management, real estate activities including land development, commercial ownerships, leasing, management and oil and gas investments. Don is chairman and CEO of Sturm Financial Group and Sue serves as vice-chair and chief financial officer.
Don and Sue share a belief in the importance of giving back to the community, and are each involved in several volunteer organizations. Through personal contributions and the Sturm Family Foundation, they expand community activities, educational opportunities most notable at the University of Denver and for low-income children.
As president of ANB Bank, Koger Propst brings more than 30 years of experience in community banking with a focus on creating alignments that allow the bank, its employees and its customers to achieve mutual goals. He leads ANB Bank with a firm belief in the power of independent banking and its ability to help enhance lives and communities. For ANB’s customers, that means truly getting to know their personal and business needs at the root level and delivering exceptional, personalized service and quality products that enhance their lives.
Koger has spent his career with Colorado banks. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Remaining active in the communities where he lives, Koger serves in board roles with a number of community organizations and leadership roles with state banking organizations.
As the regional president at our Cherry Creek Banking Center, Matt Baldner leads his team of bankers to actively support and benefit our customers in the community banking arena. Matt comes to ANB Bank with more than two decades of experience in the banking industry – most recently at another local bank where he was the executive vice president of operations and information technology. In addition, he also has his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and has attended the Graduate School of Banking.
Baldner stays active in the community, and is on the Tennyson Center for Children Board of Directors. He is also the Vice President of the Colorado Garden Foundation Board of Directors.
Northern Colorado (Ft. Collins, Boulder)
Kelso Kelly is the regional president of our Northern Colorado market, which includes our Fort Collins and Boulder Banking Centers. He is responsible for driving organic revenue growth, building and enhancing customer relationships, and overseeing the day-to-day business operations in the area.
Kelso brings almost four decades of banking and management experience to ANB. His experience encompasses many facets of banking, including both personal and commercial banking, construction and consumer lending and business development. He previously served as the chief executive officer of Capital West Bank, prior to their merger with ANB Bank.
Kelso has always been an active member of the community, having served in a variety of capacities in various organizations including hospital foundations, economic development organizations, service clubs and chambers of commerce.

As regional president of ANB Bank’s five Colorado Springs Banking Centers, Tom Ashley, with more than 17 years of banking experience brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to his team of bankers and a deep commitment of excellence in serving the customers of ANB.
Before joining ANB Bank as community bank president, Tom was a top-performing broker associate for a real estate group in Aspen, Colorado and served as the executive vice president for another large Colorado-based community bank in Colorado Springs, the Denver Tech Center and Aspen markets. He has his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking.
Ashley stays active in his community through involvement with many non-profit activities, including serving on the Board of Directors and as the Finance Committee Chairperson for Seeds Community Café, and as a Development Committee Member for Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity’s Home Repair Program.
With more than 30 years of broad banking experience, Vance Wagner brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the Bank’s Western Colorado Region as Regional President, also serving as Market President for the Grand Valley.
His lengthy experience encompasses nearly all industries and facets of banking, with an emphasis in commercial, real estate and construction lending - enabling him to help businesses of all types and sizes navigate the business landscape successfully.
Vance attended college in Colorado. Additionally, he graduated from real estate school and received awards within the financial industry.
Vance has a lengthy history of community involvement that includes serving on a number of local boards. To include serving on the following: St Mary’s Hospital Foundation Board, Club 20 Executive Committee, City of Grand Junction Downtown Development Authority, Colorado Bankers Association/ Governmental Affairs Committee
Kansas City, Kansas Metro
As regional president of ANB Bank’s Kansas City Banking Centers, RJ Gildea brings more than 9 years of banking experience and a wealth of knowledge and leadership to his team of bankers, as well as a deep commitment of excellence in serving the customers of ANB.
Before joining ANB Bank as regional president, RJ was the senior vice president of a large financial institution in Arizona. RJ attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where he received his bachelor’s degree, and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking.
RJ is committed to serving his community through his involvement with various non-profit organizations and activities, and is looking forward to furthering his involvement in the Kansas City area by volunteering with the Employee Volunteer Network.
As the Regional President for Wyoming, Kevin leads his team of bankers in creating a friendly, knowledgeable and service-oriented banking environment. He is key in developing new banking relationships, nurturing current bank relationships, and is involved helping each of his banking centers’ communities grow and prosper.
Located in the Cheyenne Banking Center, Kevin brings over two decades of experience in the industry, having worked in business banking, consumer banking, and agriculture.
Prior to joining the ANB team, Kevin was the Cheyenne branch president for Capital West Bank, which has recently merged with ANB. He has his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Kevin plays an active role in the Cheyenne community. He is a member of the Cheyenne Airport Board and the Cheyenne Chamber, and he also volunteers with local youth baseball, and supports the bank’s employee volunteer program.
Food & Agribusiness
Scott Peterson is the Food & Agribusiness President at our Fort Collins Banking Center. He uses a personalized approach to find financial solutions for his clients.
Scott brings over 20 years of banking and management experience to ANB. His experience includes agriculture lending and business development, commercial and consumer lending and bank management.
In addition to experience, Scott also has his bachelor’s degree in accounting. In his off time, he volunteers his time as a board member for a local non-profit and is an active member of several Agribusiness and agriculture-related organizations.
